January 18, 2020 - Osaka, Japan

Today we arrived in Osaka, Japan after two days at sea. The sea days were pretty average as we had rocky seas, foggy skies and very cold weather so there was no way to go outside.
This morning we had our usual breakfast and then headed out for our excursion to Osaka Castle and a Shrine  Site.
Here is the view from our balcony as we got up today.

After an annoying immigration process we boarded our coach to go to the first site.

Then off we went to Osaka Castle, not the original as the original was destroyed in the 1600s.

We spent some time at this site then made our way back to the ship.
Another big day.

January 13, 2020 - Hong Kong Day 2 - Disneyland

Today we ventured out on our own to Hong Kong Disneyland. The ship stayed overnight in port so this was a good way to pass our second day in Hong Kong.
Logistics of travel are always fun. Such a modern city like Hong Kong doesn’t take credit cards in taxis!! So you have to have cash. We made sure we had enough Hong Kong dollars and then got a taxi.
The taxis here are weird. They are all old Toyotas from the 90s, antiquated!! All of them!! I have tried to research this and found out that it’s something to do with the government controlling all the taxis, which doesn’t bother me but they could have more modern cars and take credit cards!!!
Anyway a 30 minute drive to Disneyland cost us 240HK$.

We had mild weather, 20 degrees forecast so no issues with that!

We got lots of souvenirs including the mandatory mouse ears to add to my collection.
A big day but worth going.

January 12, 2020 - Hong Kong Day 1

Today we have arrived in Hong Kong. We have a quiet day in the ship before going on a tour this afternoon.

In the afternoon we went on a tour arranged by the ship called Hong Kong By Night.
First we went to Sky100, a very tall building where we got to go to the 100th floor and take photos from an observation room.

Then off we went to a restaurant to have a Peking style Chinese banquet.
Some nice food to try.
After dinner we went to the harbour to watch the Symphony of Lights, a laser light show held each evening.

Then back to the ship.
An ok tour.
