July 8, 2018 - Excursion to Bruges, Belgium

Today we arrived to a sunny day at the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium. We took an excursion to Bruges, an old medieval town. A 30 minute bus ride and then 5 hours on our own to explore this pretty historic old town.
We got to the coach drop off point and then started our walk into town.
The Old City part of Bruges is full of cobblestone streets and medieval buildings and many canals.

We walked to a shopping street which was filled with chocolatiers. These stores are amazing.

Chocolate shapes of phones, Nintendo controllers, converse shoes and a few naughty ones  I didn’t  photograph 😜

Stopped at a lovely lace shop and bought some handmade lace items, went a little overboard so I will have to share some 😀
 A pretty place.

July 7, 2018 - Cruise Day - Yippee!!

This morning we packed up everything ready to leave the apartment for a 2.5 hour trip to Southampton. Our driver was late and this began a bad trip. No AC, over 30 degrees and very uncomfortable trip.
We were happy to make it to the ship, boarding was quick and in a flash we were in our stateroom!!

Here is our stateroom C409, the Malaga Suite.

Tonight we set sail for Zeebrugge Belgium.

July 6, 2018 - Shopping at Harrods, London

So we started our day with a taxi ride to Harrods. So exciting to go to this famous department store.

We started with a nice coffee at a coffee bar and then started to explore. The food halls are magnificent.

Then we explored the fashion, one major brand after another.

Wow! What a place, you could get lost here.
A few hours later we had lunch at a restaurant in the store and then continued our shopping experience.
We then found the Harrods gift shop, this was my favourite believe it or not and at least things were affordable here! Got some cool things here!!

Great day at Harrods!!

July 4, 2018 - Private London Cab Dr Who Tour of London

This afternoon we were collected at our apartment by our guide Steve who took us on a private tour of London to see some sights that relate to the Dr Who series. Michael is a huge fan so he was very excited to go on this tour and talk to another Dr Who fan.
We had a few non Dr Who stops for photo opportunities too.
Here we are at Buckingham Palace with a photo taken in the classic London Black Cab.

We stopped for a photo with one of two only blue police boxes left in the UK.

A quick photo stop at Westminster Abbey.....

A really interesting tour.
Another jam packed day full of goodness.
