Today we arrived in Osaka, Japan after two days at sea. The sea days were pretty average as we had rocky seas, foggy skies and very cold weather so there was no way to go outside.
This morning we had our usual breakfast and then headed out for our excursion to Osaka Castle and a Shrine Site.
Here is the view from our balcony as we got up today.
After an annoying immigration process we boarded our coach to go to the first site.
Then off we went to Osaka Castle, not the original as the original was destroyed in the 1600s.
We spent some time at this site then made our way back to the ship.
Today we ventured out on our own to Hong Kong Disneyland. The ship stayed overnight in port so this was a good way to pass our second day in Hong Kong.
Logistics of travel are always fun. Such a modern city like Hong Kong doesn’t take credit cards in taxis!! So you have to have cash. We made sure we had enough Hong Kong dollars and then got a taxi.
The taxis here are weird. They are all old Toyotas from the 90s, antiquated!! All of them!! I have tried to research this and found out that it’s something to do with the government controlling all the taxis, which doesn’t bother me but they could have more modern cars and take credit cards!!!
Anyway a 30 minute drive to Disneyland cost us 240HK$.
We had mild weather, 20 degrees forecast so no issues with that!
I
We got lots of souvenirs including the mandatory mouse ears to add to my collection.
